The Sevenoak MicRig is the first handheld grip with a built-in high-quality stereo microphone, designed for use with DSLR cameras, camcorders, GoPros, and smartphones. This compact and lightweight grip combines both audio and video functions, effectively relieving fatigue, especially on long shoots.
The MicRig features a low-cut filter switch, a bottom 1/4" screw for a tripod stand, and is compatible with all smartphones between 2.5" and 4" in width. It is powered by a single 1.5V AA battery (sold separately) and has a frequency response of 35-20,000Hz +/- 3dB, a sensitivity of -35dB +/- 1dB/0dB=1V/Pa at 1kHz, and a signal-to-noise ratio of 78dB or more. The microphone consists of two 9.7mm condenser mics with an output impedance of 2,000 ohms or less and a max load of 10kg / 22lbs.
This versatile grip offers the flexibility of a low-angle grip and a top-mounted universal cold shoe, allowing users to attach various accessories, such as LED lights and field monitors. Additionally, it comes with several staggered connecting notches for 1/4" screws to securely mount your camera.
The MicRig is bundled with the Sevenoak SK-PL30 Mini LED Video Light, featuring 30 lamp beads. Designed for smartphones, handheld grips, DSLR cameras, and camcorders, the SK-PL30 boasts a charging indicator, a cold shoe mount, a brightness adjustment button, a power switch, and a Micro USB charging port. It can be easily mounted on any device with a standard shoe mount, making it a great tool for selfies with smartphones when paired with a hand grip like the Sevenoak SK-PSC1 (sold separately).
The MicRig and SK-PL30 combination offers an excellent shooting experience for users who require high-quality audio and lighting. This bundle is suitable for a wide range of applications, including X-games, children's growth recordings, micro-films, and outdoor parties, where a C-shaped grip stabilizer and video lights can fulfill the needs for lighting in shadow areas.
Please note the following: 1. When installing the GoPro HERO5/6/7 Session with the Sevenoak MicRig, an extra Pro 3.5mm mic adapter is needed and is sold separately. 2. When using the MicRig with iOS 10.0 or later versions (iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 10, iPhone 11), an official Lightning adapter is required, which is included in the package when you purchase iPhone devices. Please use that adapter with the smartphone cable included for iOS devices with a 10.0 or later version.
